About Travesty Films
Travesty Films has been making comedy movies since the final days of the Nixon administration, though some feel that the company really hit its stride during the early days of the Reagan Revolution. Unlike the rest of the nation, Travesty was fairly moribund during the Clinton years, but has experienced a rebirth with the coming of George W. Bush. It is unclear what the link is between broad comedy and Republican presidents.
Titles include Insurance Salesmen From Saturn, Intestines From Space, and Alcoholics Unanimous.
Additionally, the group produced the acclaimed album, Teen Comedy Party, which spawned the Dr. Demento hit, “Rock and Roll Doctor.”
